Turning Off Water to the House

Your house valve is typically located on the outside of your home. It may be in the front, on the side or in the backyard. This valve will shut off water to your house for you to make repairs.

Turning Off Water at the Meter

Please note that the water meter and backflow device is District property and may only be operated by District employees.  Customers are responsible for any damage they cause to the meter or backflow shut-off valves.

If you need to shut off your water at the meter, please contact the District at (925) 625-3798. Our staff is available 24/7 to assist with turning off the water for repairs.
